WILLIAMSON CADILLAC HUMMER BECOMES WOMENCERTIFIED® KICKING IT OFF WITH A 1,000 SUIT DONATION TO THE WOMEN’S ALLIANCE!
(September 4th, 2008) Start your engines LADIES and gentlemen; Williamson Cadillac HUMMER, WomenCertified and The Women’s Alliance are uniting to collect 1,000 women’s suits for low-income families in the month of September!
The Women's Alliance is a national organization of independent community-based members who provide professional attire and career skills training to low-income women and families seeking self-sufficiency.
With the help of The Women’s Alliance and WomenCertified, Williamson Cadillac HUMMER is kicking off a promotion to collect 1,000 suits from its customer base and the S. Florida community in the month of September. Williamson Cadillac HUMMER is the first dealership in the Southeast Region to become “WomenCertified.” To achieve this certification, the dealership’s sales and service staff went through extensive training on how to better serve female customers and provide women friendly customer experiences.
During the month of September, Williamson Cadillac HUMMER will promote its “Clothes-out Sale,” in which local residents will be able to visit the dealership and donate suits for needy women in transition. The goal is to fill the HUMMER in the showroom with 1,000 suits. The dealership kicked off with the first donated suit on-air with Miami’s very own Shannon Hori from WFOR CBS-4 on September 3rd 2008.
Local residents will be able to go to
www.williamsoncadillachummer.com to guess how many suits the dealership will collect, or cast their votes in person at the dealership. The “Clothes-ing Ceremony” will be held on October 4th from 11A-4P with a celebration of women in the HUMMER showroom. The event will feature a mechanic giving car buying and maintenance tips, a female salesperson, a local fitness expert, Jennifer Nicole Lee, live entertainment provided by Slip N Slide Records with Shonie, appetizers and refreshments and complimentary massages and manicures. A fabulous spa package will be given to the person who correctly guesses the number of suits collected. Following the event, the suits will be given to The Women’s Alliance, who will distribute them to women in need.
Each year, The Women's Alliance helps more than 50,000 women and families in Miami and across the United States transition from welfare and poverty to overcome significant employment barriers and the "cost of making a good appearance." Services provided ensure that low-income women and families have the professional attire and career skills coaching they need to make the right impression on job interviews and to succeed in the workplace. All our 35 member programs provide professional attire for women, while 80% also provide clothing options for men, teens or children. For the nearest member program near you visit
