BPD Advertising Completes Training Requirements to Become First WomenCertified Healthcare Advertising Agency
Hollywood, FL (June 5, 2009) – WomenCertified® today announced that Brown Parker & DeMarinis (BPD) Advertising in Delray Beach has completed the WomenCertified training and certification requirements and has received the WomenCertified Seal for excellence in service. BPD Advertising is the first healthcare advertising agency in the U.S. to receive the distinction.
According to the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, upwards of 20% of women are dissatisfied with aspects of communication with their doctors. Designed to create better customer experiences for women, WomenCertified increases customer satisfaction by teaching sales and service professionals how to deliver better customer service, with a focus on improved communication and customer interaction.
Women make 80% of all healthcare decisions and control over 67% of healthcare spending in the U.S. Knowing how much influence women have over healthcare decisions, BPD Advertising decided to pursue the WomenCertified certification as a way to help their clients better serve this market.
“As one of the nation’s leading hospital marketing firms, we recognize the critical role women play in nearly every healthcare purchase decision,” said Jason Brown, president of Brown Parker & DeMarinis Advertising. “Consequently, we are continually searching for ways to better understand and connect with this target. Becoming WomenCertified provided our team with great training, insights and inspiration. And I’m sure it will pay off for our clients in more effective marketing strategies.”
WomenCertified founder Delia Passi added, “In a time when we are seeing more competition among healthcare providers, WomenCertified is a way to capture the share of mind and share of heart of women decision makers. Whether for oneself or a family member, healthcare decisions are personal and, at times, very emotional; knowing how to talk and listen to her in a way that resonates is critical to successful relationships.”
To become WomenCertified, 70% of a company’s customer-facing staff must complete a series of training modules and testing to learn the communication and customer service skills proven to be the most effective and desirable among women. When consumers see the seal, they know a company has been trained to better meet their needs.
Passi, the leading expert and author on marketing and communicating to women, developed WomenCertified based on more than a decade of research into women’s communication styles and buying preferences. Passi has trained thousands of sales and service professionals across the nation in developing top communication skills, and she is the CEO and President of Medelia, Inc.
“Brown Parker & DeMarinis is part of a growing group who are raising the bar in providing the best possible customer service experience—not only for women but for every customer,” she continued. “Studies show that when you meet the expectations of women, you exceed those of men. As Americans grow less satisfied with the levels of customer service they receive, WomenCertified is working to reverse that trend. It’s a win-win opportunity for companies and consumers.”
